What is Shop Pay

Shop Pay is an online checkout service offered by Shopify. It allows customers to store credit card, email, shipping, and billing information and then use it to autofill checkout fields on return visits to a website.

It's extremely important to check that your information is correct before submitting an order, and this is especially true when you choose to use express checkout options. We're unable to modify existing orders (i.e., anything with an order number) other than to cancel them prior to fulfillment, so all information must be submitted correctly.

You can update your information at the checkout or on the Shop Pay app, or you can bypass Shop Pay as the payment method altogether.

Please note, we will be unable to access or provide support for the SHOP Pay App. If you're having difficulty updating or utilizing your Shop Pay account, you must reach out to Shopify via their Shop Pay team (https://shop.app/help/shop-app-help-contact). We cannot modify anything about your Shop Pay account since it was set up and utilized solely by the customer. However, we can provide some steps to make your UMZU checkout easier.

If you have never used Shop Pay or are using a new device or browser, you must obtain a code verification to access the site. Otherwise, Shop Pay will be automatically populate at the UMZU checkout. You will see the Purple Shop Pay Icon on the Shipping and Billing page if you are in the Shop Pay App.

Once Shop Pay is loaded, you should see an option to use a different address. You can even change your payment method in SHOP Pay at this order stage.

Another option is to exit Shop Pay altogether. There are two ways of doing this. You can click on the down arrow at payment method.

You can click on an Alternative Payment Method, which will remove you from Shop Pay and provide additional Payment Methods such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, or Paypal Express.

The other option is to continue to Guest Checkout.

At guest checkout, you can use your Credit card or pay through Paypal. The default address stored in your UMZU account will be the address that appears on the ship-to line when you are not using a Pay App. You may edit the address at this stage as well as provide and select your own payment method. Please make sure the address is correct.

If you do not wish to use a payment app and prefer the traditional checkout when placing an order, avoid selecting an express checkout option and instead continue down through checkout.

If you accidentally select Shop Pay at this stage, you can bypass it as the payment method by refusing the request to enter your secure Shop Pay code. You can then complete your shipping address before moving to the next page to pick a credit card option (or to select a different express checkout payment application such as PayPal, G Pay, Apple Pay, etc.).
